Experience

I began teaching since 1999. I taught high school English IV AP and Dual Credit English for 6 years. I later became a middle school teacher and have taught 5th-8th grade. I am certified in Secondary English (6-12), English Language Arts and Reading (4-8), Social Studies (4-8), ESL (4-12), and GT (4-12). I am currently teaching ELAR/Dyslexia classes. I love teaching.  Calallen is my third school district.  I have been here since 2008.

Before teaching, I worked as a secretary in a law firm for three years.

Bio

I teach ELAR/Dyslexia at Calallen Middle School.  I am a proud Calallen High School graduate! I hold a BA and MA in English from TAMUCC (1998 and 2004). I am certified to teach Secondary English, English Language Arts and Reading, Social Studies, ESL, and GT in Texas. I have been teaching since 1999. I spent 6 years teaching high school English AP and Dual Credit. I later became a middle school teacher so that I could work with students in formative reading and writing. I love teaching middle school!

I enjoy spending time with my family and making arts and crafts.
