  • September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

The month of September is dedicated to suicide prevention and awareness throughout the U.S.  CHS will be having national suicide awareness/prevention day on September 9th.  A table with information, hotlines, goodies, stress-relieving balls, bracelets, etc. will be set up outside the cafeteria for students to visit during their lunch shift.  We will also have yoga instructors in the B gym that students can visit during their lunch to learn about meditation and mindfullness techniques to help ease stress and anxiety.

In addition to this day, CISD will be sending out information regarding suicide awareness and prevention presentations and zoom sessions from various community resources.  These presentations are free to the community and we encourage all parents, students, and members of the community to take advantage of the valuable and potentially life-saving information.  Our hope is that every student is aware that help is available.
