Howdy families!  

I was  born and raised a Corpus Christi city girl, but now am proud to say I'm a country girl.  My husband, Shayne, and I have been married for 32 years! Shayne is a successful custom home builder in Corpus Christi and all of the surrounding area.  We have two smart and independent children who we are so proud of!  Wesley, a 2009 Calallen grad, attended Texas State University and raises funds for oil and gas investments. Sally, a 2012 Calallen grad, earned a bachelors and masters from Texas A&M University - College Station! Whoop! She is a manager with Deloitte in Dallas.  Shayne and I are empty-nesters living in the middle of the country outside of Mathis, on four acres with three dogs, two cats, and a lot of other "wild" animals!

I am a 1981 grad of Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, attended Abilene Christian University for two years, and then graduated with my Education degree at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi in May 2002.  

I have been in Calallen ISD since 1997, where I began as a counselor secretary at Annaville Elementary.  I starting my teaching career in 2002 at Annaville Elementary, and then when it was closed, I moved to Magee.  This 2021/22 school year West Intermediate School opened, and now I'm here.!  For over 20 years,  I have taught Reading, Writing and Social Studies. 

This is my 6th year as 4th Grade Reading Lab Interventionist.  I am thrilled to continue helping students in the Lab!

When not at school, I enjoy reading, going to the beach or pool, fishing, but most of all, I LOVE traveling and spending time with our kiddos.  :)
